Salted Caramel Nutella Brownies

It’s another miserable morning in Le Praz so I decided to have a little kitchen experiment. 

Salted caramel Nutella brownies- delicious but very sweet! 



  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp cream
  • 1 tsp sea salt


  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 & 1/2 cups flour
  • Salt
  • 12 teaspoons Nutella


Heat your oven to 175 degrees and line an 8 x 8 inch tin. 


  • Add the sugar to a nonstick sauce pan and begin to melt slowly on a low light
  • Add the butter, a spoonful at a time, until completely melted
  • Remove from the heat and add the salt
  • Gradually add the cream and mix until smooth
  • Allow to cool slightly


  • Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  • Add the eggs and vanilla and combine
  • Slowly mix in the flour and salt until just combined
  • Fold in the caramel sauce
  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared tin
  • Drop spoonfuls of Nutella on top of the brownie mix and gently spread so you have an even layer
  • Pour the rest of the brownie mix in to the tin and spread
  • Bake for 25 minutes
